I think Lyric Pad is a great tool and does 90% of what I need right out of the box. However, I thought I would suggest 2 things that would be really nice to have:

1 - It would be nice to be able to rename the lyric files. For example, if the filename is song.txt but you want to have "song (e minor)" as the song name, you would have to remove it from the setlist, rename each file, and rebuild the setlist each time.

2 - It would be nice to be able to backup the work, in case of a loss or damaged unit. After taking the time to create lyric files, fonts, setlists, etc some [backup] and/or [restore] button would be great. The files are so small that this would seem doable. I can see the LyricPad directory where the lyrics and setlists are saved, so those are possible to backup without too much effort, but I don't know where all the preferences are. Where are those saved?

Thank you for listening and for such a great app.

Glad you are enjoying the app.

Re your no 1
You are correct. Renaming the lyric file filename will break the link to its set list reference.
However, is there actually a need to rename the lyric file filename itself?
If you just changed the title within Lyric Pad would this be sufficient for your needs?
ie. This would make it display as song (e minor) in the set list and song menus but the filename would remain the same.
To do this use the @!title script tag.
eg.
@!title Song (e minor)
An extra for this is the @!custom tag which will allows you to add information in a column beside the song name on the set list.
@!custom This goes beside the song title in the set list

Re no 2
Backing up the Lyric Pad option settings is not possible at the moment but you could easily take a screenshot of the options screen if you wanted to with your device.
The data however is extremely important to back up (Lyric Files, Set list files, etc )
This topic will run you through how to back it up
www.lyricpadapps.com/index.php/forum/support/10-how-to-transfer-my-data-to-a-new-device

This topic gives you instructions on how to set up an autobackup using dropbox (Which is what I do)

Hope that helps
