4.01 - The File System was created by admin
The file system in Lyric Pad 3 has two paths, both of which can be assigned in Settings - File System
  • ata Folder
  • Backing Track Folder

Data Folder
Default: /LyricPad3/
The data folder contains subfolders for /Lyrics and /SetLists and Lyric Pad requires write access to this folder for it to operate. In settings you will not be able to select a read only folder to use as your data folder as this would cause many problems within Lyric Pad.
Files in the <Blank> band library are in /Lyrics and /Setlists and other band folders are sub-folders of these.

Backing Track Folder
Default: /LyricPad3/Backing
The backing track folder is where Lyric Pad will look for backing track audio files. Audio files not put in this folder will not be available in Lyric Pad. This folder only requires read only access.

WARNING: READ BEFORE CHANGING DATA PATH
I highly recommend using the default data folder on your device. Lyric Pad files in the data folder are tiny in size and use hardly any space so do not change it based on usage. If you are worried about size by all means move your backing track folder by I highly recommend you leave the data folder in its default location.

Song Files
Every song in Lyric Pad will have a display file (eg. txt file) as well as a LP3 data file. The display file contains the screen display information and the data file contains all of the extra data for Lyric Pad.
