Lyric Pad 3 does not include any way to search online for data or create songs using internet data.
We have produced a separate app (which is free) that integrates into Lyric Pad 3 and provides this functionality which is called "Lyric Search".
Lyric Search is a special web browser that allows a user to search for lyrics, chords, guitar tab or bass tab for your search criteria (title / artist). It uses google search to search a number of sites online and reports the results to you.
When you select a result it then scans the selected webpage, filters the information to remove bad characters, extra spaces, etc, etc and then it creates a Lyric Pad 3 compatible song in your data base for you.
During this process it also accesses online databases to try and find a song duration for the song.
This information is used by Lyric Pad 3 to intelligently select the best scrolling speed and start delay to suit the song.

Once you have installed and set up Lyric Pad 3 you should also download and install "Lyric Search" from the google play store.

As of Lyric Pad Version 3.11 the Lyric Search app has been depreciated and has been built into Lyric Pad 3. There is now no longer any need to install Lyric Search at all.
