When you open Lyric Pad 3 you will notice two large buttons on the main page. Create Mode and Performance Mode.
These are allow the user to choose a set of tools that best suit their current use.
Do you intend to sit at a desk maintain the files in your Lyric Pad, if so choose Create Mode.
If you intent to play music then choose Performance Mode.
"Create Mode" is designed to be used when a user is preparing for a performance. This area includes functionality for creating new songs, editing songs, creating setlists, editing setlists and other file management functions.
"Performance Mode" is designed for when you are actually going to perform or practice songs.
Edit functionality is still available in Performance Mode but the functionality is hidden and out of the way so as not to impede usage during a performance.
