3.07 - Playlist / Setlists was created by admin
The Performance Mode in Lyric Pad is controlled by the playlist.
The playlist contains a list of songs, set markers or text items that form an ordered list to be used during the performance.
Any time a song is added it can be added to either the next song position in the playlist or to the end of the playlist.

Playlist Items

Set Markers
A set marker is an item that is placed in a playlist (in the playlist editor) that designates the start of a set. This marker also allows Lyric Pad to calculate and display information such as the expected set duration. When a setlist marker becomes the current playlist item a setlist summary will be displayed on the Performance Mode screen.

Songs
A song in the playlist is a link to a particular song in the database. When a song becomes the current playlist item the song details will be displayed on the Performance mode screen and any backing tracks and automation will be scheduled on the Lyric Pad timeline. If a song is "played" for 60 seconds it will be considered "played" and will appear crossed out on the playlist.

Text Items
A text item is very useful to add a song that does not exist in your database into a playlist. When a text item becomes the current playlist item the text item contents will be displayed on the Performance Mode screen. Lyric Pad will consider a text item to be a song in every other respect.

Songs Marked As Played
Songs that are the current song and are played from more than 60 seconds (default) will be marked as played in the playlist. This song will then be skipped if moving to the next or previous songs in the playlist. This is a useful feature for those users that like to skip through their playlist as they will only skip through songs that they have not played.
Played songs can be marked as unplayed again by double tapping the song in the playlist slideout bar.

Loading Setlists
Previously made setlists can be loaded into the active playlist by the following process:
  • Open Lyric Pad
  • Go to Performance Mode
  • Open the Right Hand Side Slideout Bar
  • Press the Playlist Editor button
  • In the PlayList Editor, press the load setlist button

Saving Playlists
At the end of your gig you can save your playlist so you can reuse it at a later date.
  • Open the Right Hand Side Slideout Bar
  • Press the Playlist Editor button
  • In the PlayList Editor, press the save setlist button

Please refer to the specific pages for more details on using the playlist editor or the playlist control in the slideout bar
