Lyric Files

The Basics

In its most basic form a Lyric File is a simple txt file such as can be created by notepad on windows. These created txt files are placed in a single path on your android device (Default is /sdcard/LyricPad/Lyrics/ ) and Lyric Pad does the rest.

Naming Conventions

Lyric Files should be named using the naming convention of .txt

For example. If I have the song "Silent Night" then the corresponding Lyric File would be Silent Night.txt

Making a Lyric File

When I make lyric files I am generally making several files at once so I use the following process:

• On my PC I create a new txt file
• I search online for the lyrics I want and copy them to the clipboard
• I paste the lyrics into the txt file and save the file
• I copy the files to a usb stick and then into my lyrics folder on my android device

There are many ways to create lyric files but this is the process that I normally use.
